your application passcode-muggles. Furthermore, you may not post anywhere until
your application is accepted.
the main ones .
1. Spamming and / or Trashing the Site
Just don't do it. Okays? It's not polite and it's certainly won't impress us admins or others members if you are ruining this site. First incidence is a warning, second time a member is banned for a week. Third time - do you really want to know? Alright, deletion of that account. Spamming is basically double posting, one word posts etc. Need more clarification? PM me or one of the other admins.
2. Language and Grammar
We are a literate/semi literate site, meaning one line posts are not acceptable.Yes, everyone gets writers block every now and then so sometimes it just can't be helped. However, if every IC post you are making is less than 50 words, you will receive a warning. On the whole, I'd say each post should be around 100 words / 1 - 2 paragraphs. This, of course, excludes OOC posts. Please use proper grammar and spelling. Obviously, I understand that we all are from different countries so spelling may be different, but please, use spell check on Microsoft Word! It only takes a few seconds and it makes the board look a lot neater. Typos are to be expected, but that doesn't mean I want to see a whole post filled with them!
3. Rating
This is more for experienced RPers so the rating is set at PG 13. That being said, I will not tolerate sex threads or threads with graphic gore and violence as they aren't allowed. While you may use 'shit' and 'hell' don't go overboard.
4. Respect other members!
Please, if you have a problem with someone, do not start a hate war. They really are not necessary and that do not add to the friendly atmosphere of the site. If you do have a problem with another member, PM an admin and they will sort it out with you and said member in the most mature and unbiased way possible.
5. The mods and admins say is final
I think this one is rather self explanatory, don't you? Respect us and we will respect you!
the image ones .
1. Credit it
If someone makes you a signature or avatar, they probably spent quite a lot of time perfecting it for you. Therefore, do not claim it as your own! Credit it as their work. Similarly, don't steal others signatures / avatars / images. It's not very polite and we won't be lenient when we find out (and we will!) you will receive a warning.
2. Size
Oh, here we go. The size of your signature does not matter on one condition: it doesn't stretch the board. This is just a common courtesy on your part. Avatars must be 150 x 200 pixels. Also, do not post images larger than 500 x 500. However, post a link if you are absolutely dying to.
3. Content
No nudity, gore, graphic violence, offensive text or anything similar. End of story. Also, no anime characters. You must have a living person as your face claim. Well, just a living person in general
the out-of-character ones .
1. Be polite
Yes, your character has permission to be an absolute cow. You, however, do not. There is no need to put down other members or trash the site when you are OOC. It's just rude.
2. Advertising
We have an advertising section. So why bother posting links to sites you want to in any other section of the board? There isn't any point.
3. Affiliates
We understand, you want to advertise your site by more than just making a thread. However, there are certain requirements that your site must fulfill. We don't just go around putting affiliates up for every person that asks.
the in-character ones .
1. Naming your character/s
Try to be interesting! While sometimes it is hard to find a name that really suits your characters, it is annoying to see 'Sam Smith' walking around. Play around with it! Anything goes! However, please remember to register with a first middle and last name.
2. Limit to the number of characters
Simple; there isn't one, providing you keep every single one of them active. We don't want to see people making countless new characters & never bothering to develop their old ones.
3. NO powerplaying / godmodding
In other words; you do not control every single character on this board. The whole point of rping is interacting with other people! So do not make your characters all knowing of everything. As for god modding; just don't do it, okay? If you're unsure as to what it is; basically, it's when you determine the actions of another character. WRONG. You can say that is was a well aimed slap, but never say your character actually hit the other character. It is up to them to decide whether their character is involved.
4. Store Items / Usage
Everyone wants special items for their character, right? Of course and you can have them if you buy them first. I mean things like lycanthropy, metamorphagus, animagus, patronus, etc. This is advanced magic and not everybody can do it. If your bio says you can than you better have bought that ability on another account or it's a canon.
5. Word Count
The word count on here is 150 words. It's easy enough and nobody really wants to see one liners in IC. Don't worry, this only goes for IC posts, everything else doesn't matter.
thank you !
